Welcome to the online home for the Florida Automated Vehicles (FAV) program, led by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). The FAV initiative is helping to educate the public by engaging stakeholders, developing research and pilot projects, and creating awareness of the technologies and how they support FDOT’s vision statement. These revolutionary technologies will be able to further FDOT’s vision statement; “serving the people of Florida by delivering a transportation system that is fatality and congestion free.” Automated vehicle technologies hold unprecedented opportunities in helping to reduce congestion and improve safety. This site is designed to provide information on the Florida-specific initiative and the progression of automated vehicle technology nationwide.

This website includes an overview of FDOTs latest efforts, a calendar of events and an archive of relevant articles.

Thank you for being a part of the Florida Automated Vehicle discussion. We sincerely appreciate your voice as we create a framework for learning and implementation.
